Client confidentiality is maintained in compliance with the Data Protection Act (1998) and to comply with the National Council of Hypnotherapy’s code of ethics on confidentiality.

Confidentiality would only be broken in the event of any concerns of the safety of the client, in which case their GP would be contacted.

Stop Smoking *
I went to see Heather because I had given up on life. I had been depressed for 10 years, tried four different medications over the years, had counselling with 3 different people, had help from Mind, went through a year of psychotherapy, had CBT and NOTHING worked. I was so hopeless that I had even carefully planned how I would commit suicide. I went to Heather feeling "well this won't work either, I will never be happy again" but she CHANGED MY LIFE. After one session, I was able to be assertive, to realise that I was not paranoid and that I was not dramatic but that the boyfriend I was with was abusive and manipulative and that he was the reason why I was so depressed at the time. I was able to see the positives in life again. The second session I got scared again because I felt it did not work as much but by the third, I can honestly say I was back to my empowered, confident and depression free self. I quit my job (which was a really tough and scary decision but somehow I had the strength to know that it would be okay, that I would be okay), I moved out and dumped that horrible guy despite how dependent I had been of him due to his mental/emotional abuse. My friends could not believe how happy I looked, how much lighter I seemed to be; and neither could I. I was scared it was temporary but a year later I was still confident, strong and happy on my own and when I felt down again due to another relationship issue, Heather was the first person I turned to. If you are down, if you feel hopeless, I promise you, you MUST give hypnotherapy a go. Heather is kind, the environment she works in is soothing and she is very encouraging and not judgmental at all. I highly recommend her and I'm sorry I did not know her for all of those years I spent crying and thinking about death, feeling this massive weight on my shoulders and as if no one could understand my pain. Three sessions...that's all it took to free me and I will never be able to thank her enough for changing my life and bringing ME back in control of my brain rather than the other way around.
Depression And Suicidal *
I went to see Heather after looking for alternative therapies to help me cope with severe anxieties. I worried about everything, didn't sleep, wasn't eating right, the list goes on. This built up from severe panic attacks after moving jobs. I'd been to the doctors and been prescribed medication. But I needed to change my mindset. My anxieties were severe, it was causing me relationship problems and I didn't want to see any friends. I had no confidence and was off work. Life was awful and I tried to take an overdose. Life wasn't good for me, but it was all in my head, people kept telling me I would be OK, but I needed help. I was very apprehensive before I started the sessions, didn't know much about how it works or if it would work. But I had seen some of Heather’s clients comments on her website and they looked so positive I decided to try it. The sessions were very relaxed in a very calming environment. I felt at ease and Heather is really easy to get on with. She is kind and has a very calming positive outlook for you. You don't feel rushed. She adapts her style to how you are doing or feeling and is a good listener I found it a massive help in my recovery and still listen to the recordings Heather done for me. I don't understand why hypnotherapy isn't available on the NHS. It made me in control again and helped me see positives in my life that I knew where there, I just couldn't feel that in my mind. I would recommend Heather to anyone.
Anxieties *
I was struggling with relationship anxiety. I felt anxious a lot of the time, had low self esteem. I’d sort out other therapy before, CBT therapy from the NHS and private healthcare and things seemed to help but I always felt like it wasn’t fully gone. It felt as though I had treated a lot of the symptoms and some of the problem, but the problem ultimately was still present. I felt sceptical about hypnotherapy feeling it may be a bit ‘airy fairy’. My dad actually noticed how much this anxiety was taking a toll on my life, my work, just everything and he booked the sessions. The sessions felt structured, personal and helpful. It felt like Heather listened to how I felt, empathised with my emotion and made me feel like I was in good hands, that I wasn’t alone in how I felt. After the sessions, I noticed that my general demeanour was far more relaxed, I felt far more in control without really doing too much other than committing to the process mentally. My self-esteem shot up and the best way to describe it is that I feel I’ve somewhat mended my relationship with myself, which is exactly what we did in our sessions. If I could describe our sessions it would be empathetic, insightful and safe. I cannot recommend Heather enough for how she has helped me. Thank you Heather.
Relationship Anxiety *
My fear of balloons has improved so much since my first hypnotherapy session with Heather. I felt physically sick at the thought of touching a balloon, I can now handle, blow up, tie and even have a balloon popped in my hand. My former fear of balloons no longer affects me. It has changed my life radically!

I came to see Heather to help me improve my self-confidence, motivation and ability to manage my day-to-day life. My motivation, organisational skills and self-confidence were at a very low level and I was starting to struggle with basic day-to-day tasks. I admit that I was cynical about hypnotherapy before speaking to Heather, however her professionalism and gentle persuasion convinced me that I might benefit from hypnotherapy. By speaking to Heather I learned more about hypnotherapy and felt that I could benefit. I really enjoyed the sessions; Heather helped me to relax and explained the treatment very clearly. After the sessions I felt immediate improvements, my motivation instantly improved and my ability to organise slowly increased. My self-confidence improved gradually over time. Self-confidence *
Ever since I could remember, I've always had a phobia of heights. Even stepping on a ladder would make me anxious, and I would visualise the most catastrophic scenarios for myself and my loved ones whenever even the smallest drops were involved. My irrational fears had started reflecting on the way my son played, and I didn't want them to rub off on him. My phobia had also been preventing me from undertaking activities I was drawn to, such as mountain running and bouldering. In an all too common case of "sign up first, ask questions later", last spring I registered for a summer mountain race. I knew it was well outside my comfort zone: I had tried hiking up the same mountain years before, and it led to such an acute anxiety attack I was hysterical. Heather came highly recommended by a good friend of mine, but I wasn't sure this type of approach would work on me. My mind tends to wander, and I thought I couldn't be hypnotised. Nevertheless, this race was a bucket list item for me, and with only four months to go I had to try everything I could to undertake it safely. Having already tried CBT I knew it wouldn't be sufficient.I was expecting hypnotherapy to be daunting, but from the get go Heather put me at ease. Her approach is professional, but warm and friendly. It felt like I was opening up to a friend rather than a therapist. The second session resurfaced feelings that I had buried deep inside me for decades. It was emotional and cathartic, and for me it was a turning point not just for the purpose of my therapy, but overall in my life. Even so, I left each session wondering how it could help me tackle my phobia. But then, without fail, over the following days, something would click, and I would notice my mindset had shifted. By this point I had taken on bouldering, and I could reach the top of routes that I had been unable to complete before. The race was amazing. I had the most fun I've ever had in my life, running over narrow paths overlooking steep drops, taking in the views, feeling at one with nature. Afterwards I was buzzing for days, to this day it's the achievement I'm most proud of. It was a brutal course, but I had a happy grin on my face all the way through. I have always been an anxious person, but I noticed that since attending these sessions I have been more relaxed about life in general. My husband also commented on how much more zen I am. I have already recommended Heather to someone!
Hypnotherapy for a phobia of heights
I would thoroughly recommend Heather Hall life coaching, she has shown the ability to delve thoroughly into our minds and to put it in a better context, kick start our own thought processes of where we want to be and what we want to do. Life coaching *
For a number of years, I was suffering with anxiety. I attempted to address this issue by going on a course of cognitive behavioural therapy and seeing my GP. However, I did not benefit from this, and continued to think the way I did. My life was limited in numerous ways. I withdrew from life. I first spoke to Heather on the phone before deciding to have hypnotherapy sessions. Heather was always excellent, kind and professional, and I was thus at immediate ease with her. She identified a range of issues and we dealt with them in only six sessions. My confidence progressively grew and I found myself thinking much more positively, which has benefitted my life immeasurably. I would go so far as to say that I am now very mentally healthy. I find myself engaging with life in a way I never have done before. I highly recommend hypnotherapy with Heather to anyone. The sessions are engaging, informative, motivating and positive. Anxiety *
I booked for my 11-year-old daughter to see Heather because of some anxiety she’d been experiencing. Certain new or different situations had tended to make her ‘feel worried’ for some time but things had started to escalate making life harder than it needed to be. I was getting to the point where I wasn’t sure what else to try when a friend recommended Heather. I didn’t know much about hypnotherapy but after a telephone conversation, I decided it was definitely worth a try so I booked an appointment. Heather has a very friendly, calm manner that quickly made us feel at ease. She listened with patience and empathy and explained how the body and mind react to situations in an easy to understand way. I could tell that my daughter was starting to understand some of her triggers and that importantly, it isn’t something that only happens to her - the language and terms that Heather used were the ideal pitch for her age. I waited outside after the initial chat and wondered how much my daughter would open up, not having met Heather before, but she felt reassured by Heather, it was a friendly relaxed environment. Heather explained the therapy process and went through it at the perfect pace always making sure my daughter was comfortable. My daughter has found the session really useful. It has made her think about things in a different way and her confidence has grown. The coping strategies that Heather taught her have been very useful and she feels better equipped to deal with situations that she finds difficult. Some of the ways of thinking have started to come naturally and, as time has gone on, she’s become less and less worried. As a parent, I feel relieved that we now have a much better understanding of the anxiety and ways to combat it. I’m so grateful to Heather for helping us.
Childhood Anxiety
I was unsure about hypnobirthing to start with as the recordings just seemed to help me sleep and it didn't seem like I was taking anything in. Now I have gone through labour, I am so glad I did hypnobirthing. Without it I am convinced my labour would have been very different and much more painful. It's not about being hypnotised to think that labour doesn't hurt, it's a mental state of mind knowing you can deal with the pain and that your body knows what it has to do. On the day I was not scared or worried as I knew that I could cope with what I was about to experience. My labour was at home as planned and very quick (5hrs 44mins). I didn't have to have any gas and air or other pain relief.
Hypnobirthing – Confident Childbirth *
It worked! I seen results. I lost quite a lot of weight, roughly about 7 stone and lost it quite quickly in about 6 months. It's changed my life, I'm like a completely different person.
Weight loss & motivation *
Heather has recently helped my 8 year old daughter with hypnotherapy to get over her sleeping problems. Heather also supplied a MP3 recording which my daughter listens to at bedtime. We have all benefitted by the hypnotherapy, as we now all get a good night sleep as my daughter no longer wakes us up.

On and off for 8 years I was waking in the night with panic attacks, thinking I had lost a ring and searching frantically in the bed for a ring, that I didn’t own. I had 2 sessions of hypnotherapy with Heather and since then there are no more recurring nightmares and panic attacks. I’m sleeping really well now and dreaming new pleasant dreams.

I went to see Heather to help with losing weight and finding the willpower to do so. I've never felt like I could lose the weight and my health was starting to become affected. I was a little nervous about trying something new but was coming to the end of all other options. On our first session straight away I found Heather very professional, I felt comfortable and relaxed. I started to notice small changes at first but as time went on my partner noticed more than I did. I've started to feel so much better and the weight is coming off. My family life is getting better and I've put a lot of issues to bed now and become comfortable in my own skin. Even if the weight didn't come off, I'm happy with who I am now. After 10 years of suffering from anxiety and panic attacks I was skeptical that hypnotherapy would work. I had one session with Heather for treatment for confidence issues around public speaking, as it is a requirement occasionally in my job and it is something that I have struggled with in the past. About a week later I was asked to deliver a training course and without thinking too much about it, I did so with complete confidence and without any anxiety. I’m hoping to have more sessions with Heather to help me progress further. I’m delighted and impressed with what I have been able to achieve with Heather’s help.
